2010 Chevrolet Camaro
Revealed
Is
there a hotter automotive subject than the Chevy Camaro these days?
Possibly the Volt, also a golden bowtie branded vehicle, but hot for
entirely different reasons to an entirely different group of
enthusiasts.The Camaro is GM's better-late-than-never muscle car,
and despite concerns it's hitting the market just when fuel prices
threaten to do in the segment the same way gasoline shortages killed
it back in the '70s, it's managing to brighten hopes in Detroit
despite GM's overall slow sales
The
latest Camaro news is about standard and optional features. The
highly anticipated car, due to arrive early next year as a 2010
model, will be available in five trim levels, starting with the base
LS, and moving up through the ranks with the following designations,
1LT, 2LT, 1SS and 2SS.
Base LS cars will get a standard 300-horsepower 3.6-litre V6 (same
as in the top-line Cadillac CTS), 18-inch alloy wheels, a dual
exhaust system, six-speaker audio system with XM radio, OnStar,
Stabilitrak electronic stability control, plus front, side-thorax
and side-curtain airbags, while floor mats will be the only
available option.
Move up to the 1LT and along with the LS' standard
equipment list you'll get a powered driver's seat, fog lights, and
GM's Driver Information Center trip computer, while a glass sunroof
and 19-inch rims are optional, as are upgraded tunes thanks to a
nine-speaker, 245-watt Boston Acoustics audio system. A Convenience
& Connections package can also be had, adding Bluetooth and USB
connectivity
